Nature is an endless source of inspiration for many generations of artists. This time its power gave me an impulse for creativity. The concept of this picture came to me when I watched a stormy sky above a forest on the lake. Stormy clouds scattered and stripe of bright clear sky appeared above the tree tops. This sight took (captured) me and I was ready to convey my impressions on canvas. I chose colors similar to the real colors of this dramatic scene. I used thin brush strokes and various techniques to make the surface of canvas unique. The dark horizontal strip of brush strokes in the middle of the canvas symbolizes the forest reflected on the lake surface.
